Empowering Bold Faith for Lasting Transformation
He almost made it. Jehu had everything. Courage. He almost made it. Jehu had everything. Courage. Drive. Decisiveness. God handpicked him to end Ahab's corrupt dynasty (2 Kings 9:6-7). He tore down Baal worship with holy fury. His line ruled the northern kingdom longer than any other. From the outside? Wildly successful. Then comes one of the saddest verses in Scripture: "Yet Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart" (2 Kings 10:31). Not careful. Not with all his heart. Within sight of victory, he settled for mediocrity. Don't miss this: Jehu's problem was never a lack of strength. It was strength that outran surrender. He obeyed the parts he was passionate about and kept the parts he was comfortable with. He never turned from the golden calves. The same fierceness God commissioned became recklessness God had to judge (Hosea 1:4). Let me hold up a mirror. God gave you strengths too. That discernment. That fire. That capacity to hold a room and carry what nobody sees. Those gifts find their greatest usefulness only under His control. Outside of it, they don't just underperform, they turn. Discernment becomes suspicion. Strength becomes control. Drive becomes an idol in ministry clothes. You cannot half-surrender a strength and expect it to bear whole fruit. So here is your one step today, and it takes sixty seconds. Tell God out loud that you are willing to be under His control. Name the strength: "Lord, my ___ is Yours. Not on loan. Not on my terms. Yours to command." Paul called it offering your body as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1). The trouble with living sacrifices is that they can crawl off the altar. So we climb back on... daily, honestly, gladly. You are not disqualified by what you've held back. You are being invited to hand it over. He is not asking for your perfection. He is asking for the reins. 💬 Tell me below: what is one strength you're handing back to God today? My heart is so full. ❤️ Today we gathered again w My heart is so full. ❤️ Today we gathered again with our Growth ReTREET family to reconnect before many of these incredible young men and women begin their next chapter... some heading off to college, others stepping into a new school year. We shared a meal, laughed together, played games, encouraged one another in our faith, took a beautiful walk around Little Mountain Farm, and prayed over one another and entrusting this next season to the Lord. One of my greatest prayers is that what God started at Growth ReTREET will continue to grow long after the weekend ended. My encouragement to each of them was simple: Keep Growing. Stay rooted in God's Word. Find a Bible-believing church. Get plugged into a Christian community. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. The future is bright when the next generation is deeply rooted in Christ. I couldn't be more proud of every one of these students. May God continue to strengthen their faith, guide their steps, and use them mightily for His glory. "Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him." — Colossians 2:7 🙏

Sometimes people see the progress, but they don't Sometimes people see the progress, but they don't see the prayers, the waiting, the sacrifices, the setbacks, or the countless hours of hard work behind the scenes. This farmhouse isn't just being built with lumber and steel. It's being built one faithful step of obedience at a time. Watching my husband pour his heart, talent, and craftsmanship into this dream has been one of the greatest blessings. Dreams are worth pursuing, but the greatest dream is following wherever God leads. When we place our plans in His hands, He has a way of building something far greater than a house. He builds our character, our faith, and our testimony. "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain."
